Lilka Mimbella was born in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA in Dance and MS in Education. Lilka has danced in Peru, Brazil and throughout the United States. She has worked with various dance companies such as The Alpha Omega Dance Company, Viva Brazil Dance Company, Ochumare Dance Company among others. She currently teaches Dance throughout NYC. Samba is a dance with influences including West African movements and rhythms. It is considered to be the heartbeat of Brazil.
