Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, of Puerto Rican descent, Destiny is a passionate Afro Latin dance instructor based in New York City. With 22 years of experience in teaching, performing, and choreographing, Destiny specializes in five Afro Latin club style dances: Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, and Latin Hustle.

For approximately a decade, Destiny was a dedicated member of the renowned dance company Descarga Latina, where she co-directed for five years, leading the company to achieve multiple world championships in Salsa dancing. This extensive experience has afforded Destiny the opportunity to travel both locally and internationally to perform, teach, and judge, with highlights including Trinidad and Tobago, London, Thailand, Panama, Amsterdam, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Florida and the TriState area.

In addition to teaching students of all ages and levels, Destiny has directed and coached student/amateur & professional teams for about 15 years, mentoring champions who have earned world titles under her guidance. With an unwavering passion for dance, Destiny is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and inspiring those eager to learn.
