Based in NYC and dancing since the age of four, Brianna Rios has trained under several world-renowned artists. Her passion for dance shines through her work as a performer, teacher, and competitor on both national and international stages.
At just 18 years old, Brianna made history by becoming the youngest World Champion in the Professional Salsa On2 Division at the Miami World Salsa Summit in February 2014. Since then, she has competed at the World Salsa Masters in Madrid, served as a U.S. judge at the Asia Open Championships during the India International Dance Congress, and proudly represented the USA at the 2017 World Games in Poland.
Off the stage, Brianna appeared as one of New York City's featured dancers in the film Shine, further showcasing her versatility and presence in the world of dance.
Brianna has colorful dance background, as she has trained in assorted styles including: ballet, tap, jazz, blues, belly dancing, swing, west coast swing, hustle, hip hop, traditional Greek styles, Salsa/Mambo, Cha Cha Cha & Latin Ballroom. She received extensive training under world-renowned Salsa artists. Maya's dance style can be described as a tasteful & subtle blend of genres with a musically expressive spirit.
Brianna has competed nationally and internationally; winning first place gold medals in various dance competitions. She teaches at corporate events, birthday parties, and at public outdoor events in the summertime. Brianna also offers private lessons for those who want to develop their skills, musicality and movement. She loves to motivate and inspire her students to be unique, expressive and move naturally.
Salsa Salsa studio been family to her since 2014, and she has gratitude to Jose & Marcus for creating this community of dancers in Brooklyn.
